Kekkilä celebrated the new Eurajoki factory

On thursday 9th June, the opening ceremony was celebrated at Eurajoki substrate factory. Vapo Oy CEO Tomi Yli-Kyyny and mayor of Eurajoki community Harri Hiitiö cutted the ribbon and so the factory was officially opened. When the old factory destroyed in the fire in April 2010, planning of the new factory started immediately.
Already in March 2011, first products were produced. The factory represents latest substrate manufacturing technology, which makes it a most modern substrate factory in Europe. Factory manager Päivi Laakso describes,how the new technology affects the employees' job description: "Working in the old factory was very physical, now it takes more brains."
