Description

Kekkilä Orchid Soil is a growing medium specially designed for orchids. In nature, orchids often occur as epiphytes, growing anchored to other plants, such as trees. This is why they need a very airy and permeable soil. To provide this, Orchid Soil, very different from ordinary flower soils, is extremely coarse in structure.

Orchid Soil is suitable for most orchids that can be grown in pots, including species and hybrids of Cymbidium, Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis, etc.

Instructions

Repot your orchid when the roots fill the pot or when the substratum has decomposed to the level of being too fine. The best time to repot is in the non-growing season when the plant has finished flowering.

Orchids need very little nutrients, and there are no added nutrients in Kekkilä Orchid Soil. The essential nutrients should be supplied when watering. Add Kekkilä Orchid Nutrients to lime-free water as instructed on the bottle, then throroughly water the soil.

Kekkilä Orchid Soil contains tree bark, clay pellets and charcoal.
