Description

Kekkilä Herb Soil is a natural special product for sowing and growing herbs and spices in the kitchen, on the balcony or in a herb garden.

Herb Soil contains peats, sand, silt and silty clay as well as lime and natural fertiliser. A substance called Humistar has also been added to stimulate the establishment and growth of roots.

Instructions

To grow a ready-potted herb, transfer the herb to a pot that is 2 to 3 times the size of the original pot. The root collar should be at soil level or just below it. Firm the soil around the plant, taking care not to damage the root collar. Thoroughly water the soil, but avoid over-watering: the soil should be moist, not wet. Nourish the herb with Kekkilä Watering Fertiliser. Finish the surface of the soil with Kekkilä Pot Mulch.

To grow a herb from seed, moisten the soil and pat it down. Press the seeds lightly down and water. Cover the seeds thinly with Kekkilä Garden Sand to avoid water evaporation and grey mould. Do not, however, cover seeds that need light to germinate.

Basil is a popular and versatile herb but sensitive to being moved. We therefore recommend that you transfer your basil to a larger pot without removing the original plastic pot. This is to avoid damage to the roots.

Use your Herb Soil immediately if possible, or store cold away from light. Nutrient loss occurs due to the influence of time, temperature and humidity.
